Legacy Four Parties is a web service run by Legacy Four Solutions LLC ("we," "us"), doing business as Legacy Four Parties, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. By creating a host account, creating an event, or using an event link, you agree to these terms.

1. What the service is

We provide a website that lets a host run a live competition (a tasting bracket, cook-off, or similar) where guests sign up and vote from their phones. We provide the software. The host provides the party.

2. Hosts and accounts

• You must be at least 18 to create a host account. Keep your password and host PIN private; anything done through your account or with your PIN is on you.
• Give us a working email address. We use it to sign you in, to send receipts, and to reach you about your events. We do not send marketing email unless you ask for it.
• You are responsible for your event: who you invite, what is served, that everyone drinking is of legal age, and that your event follows local laws and any venue rules. Please celebrate responsibly.

3. Guests

Guests do not create accounts. They use an event link or code the host shares, type a first name, and take part. Guests should use a real first name (or the name the host knows them by) and score honestly. Hosts can remove a sign-up at any time.

4. Free and paid events

• Every event starts free and allows up to 5 voting guests. Paid plans raise that limit for that one event. Prices are shown on the site at the time of purchase; guests are never charged.
• Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Stripe acts as the merchant of record and handles applicable sales tax.
• A purchase upgrades one specific event. It does not renew, does not carry to another event, and is not a subscription.
• Refunds. Not happy with a paid event? Email us within 7 days of your event date and we will refund it, no questions asked. We would rather you be glad you used it.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use the service for anything illegal, to harass anyone, to collect other people's information, to overload or break the service, or to run events that promote hate or harm. We can suspend or remove accounts and events that break these rules.

6. Your content

Event names, entry names, and guest names belong to whoever entered them. By entering them you give us permission to display them to the people in that event and to store them so the service works. Keep it appropriate for a mixed crowd; we may remove content that is not.

7. Availability

We run on shared cloud services and we work hard to keep the site up, especially on party nights, but we cannot promise it will never be unavailable. Save your host link and PIN before the party, and keep a pen handy as a backup, just like any tool.

8. No warranty, limited liability

The service is provided "as is." To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the event in question. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Ending things

You can stop using the service and ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing us. We can end or suspend access for breaking these terms.

10. Changes

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and, for account holders, mention it by email. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
